This morning Hope Valley Fire was requested to Ashaway Fire District to the scene of a chimney fire on Ashaway Road. HPD passed by and reported 6 foot flames from the chimney. Units quickly arrived on scene. Fire was confined to the chimney and had burned itself out. After an investigation to determine no fire had spread outside of the chimney in to the walls, a set of brushes was run to free the blockage and fire units were returned in service.
